Emmanuel Cooper

Emmanuel Cooper yellow mug

Was sad to hear Emmanuel Cooper died recently. I worked with him on his Table Manners exhibition at the Crafts Council in 2005. We had some nice research trips to potters various in Devon and Cornwall. It was rather lovely to hear him hold forth on any and every subject. Rather lovelier to hear his motorcycle roar up and see him in his leathers and helmet, whilst knowing he was in his late 60s. He was a force of craft nature.

This is a greeny-acidy-yellow mug he gave me at the end of that project.
