Writing

I enjoy writing. I research and write about historical and contemporary design, craft and fashion for magazines, the web, books, on my blog and on Twitter and Instagram.

I have just written a book called Art Supplies for Uppercase. I have also written essays for the following Ruthin Craft Centre catalogues: Mastery. Women in Silver, Basketry: Rhythm, Renewal & Reinvention, W is for Wallpaper, Julie Arkell Home, Olivia Brown and Julie Arkell Away. I wrote the book: Charles Hasler Sends His Greetings for MoDA Museum of Domestic Architecture and contributed a chapter to the book: The Cutting Edge of Wallpaper.

I write for different websites, including House & Garden and Vitsoe. I also research and write design historical content, including digital stories about Craft Wallpaper and Enid Marx for MoDA Museum of Domestic Architecture.

Magazines that I have written for include: Uppercase, The World of Interiors, Crafts, Embroidery, Ceramic Review, Selvedge and others. The list below (I do sometimes like a list) goes back just a few years, to keep things short. But you get the idea.
